"Bricks from the Kiln pulls together amputated visual elements, short-form writing and investigations begun but forced aside. Material ‘reordered, recontextualised and reclassified, freed from the archive and fragmented on these pages’. Texts and projects included so far have dealt with peripheral figures such as Ralph Rumney and Pierre Faucheux; détourned ‘music optimized for abandoned malls’; monuments to Kazimir Malevich, Rosa Luxemburg and Walter Benjamin and ‘Agatha Christie smoking Asger Jorn’s cigar’. To date Bricks from the Kiln has been published annually and featured contributions from (in order of appearance) Ron Hunt, Natalie Ferris, Ralph Rumney, James Langdon, Mark Owens, Jamie Sutcliffe, Iain Sinclair, Traven T. Croves, Parallel School, Catherine Guiral, Max Harvey, He Pianpian & Li You, Ryan Gerald Nelson, James Bulley, Daphne Oram, Céline Condorelli, Scandinavian Institute for Computational Vandalism, Mark Simmonds, Flights and Fissures / David Whelan and Rose Gridneff."
